Carnival of Venice – part 1

My vacation is off so I should probably get back to work (work means studying and making projects). :( However, it was a short but very welcomed trip. I heard about the carnival of Venice, but I wasn’t that excited about it (knowing that Italian people don’t party as much as I want to), but I was wrong. I saw thousands of people drinking, enjoying themselves and partying in costumes, in Venice, during the carnival. Unfortunately, the weather was a little bit too cold and that scared a lot of tourists. I am very upset that I haven’t bought a costume or even a mask, just to feel the spirit of the carnival. I adored people dressed up like a duke or a duchess. It made me think about the old times in Venice, when people was actually dressing like that while having a promenade on those antique streets, especially that this is a city which is unchanged by centuries. It was a great experience! I visited Venice 50 times, but I’m never tired to admire his structure, the stores and the water bus (on which I adore to be). It’s indeed a unique city. But, it has a small defect: TOURISTS…lots of them and all kinds of them. If you are in a hurry, it’s impossible to arrive on time. They stop, take photos, go back and walk slow, everything that you don’t want to see when you are late. :) )

Enough with writing…let’s see some pictures.

I love this murano glass items. You can see them everywhere in Venice. All stores have items like these that tourists can buy as a memory from the trip. I have to say they are a little bit expensive. These items in the picture are from a hotel near the entrance in Venice.

This is the entrance of the hotel Bellini in Venice. I heard that the chandelier costs a fortune.

I captured Deadmou5 (his replica :D , not the real dj). I like the most the colourful way they dressed.

Mice from Venice…big ones :D .

Gondolas at night, resting…I heard that these boats are passed from father to son for generations. They can’t be sold or gifted to somebody else. A trip with this beauty costs approximately 100 euro.

It was snowing at that moment (which is very rare in Italy – once a year). I tried to capture those incredible buildings. Hard Rock Cafe managed to advertise itself in a unique way.

Origami with Money

Another day without doing anything…I’ve been so lazy lately. I have projects, tests, exams and many many other things to do, but all I want is to sit in my bed and do nothing. My good friend – Internet – knows that I don’t have the mood to make projects so he distracts me every time he can (and he succeeds :D ). The cold outside is another cause that makes my life so sedentary in this time of year. I envy so much people who live in warm countries…However, I’m glad that I haven’t seen snow this year, even though Christmas is not the same without it. Holidays have passed…the only things that remain are the cold weather, the snow (I’m pretty sure it will snow soon) and exams. Sorry, I don’t want to ruin your mood. I only wanted to write what is in my mind in this moment…

PS: Look how great these images with origami are. I always wanted to have the skill to make something beautiful and creative like that.

Most Beloved Street Art Photos

Sorry for the long break. I’ve just came back from my holiday vacation to Italy. It wasn’t the best country in which I could spend Christmas and celebrate the New Year’s Eve, but everything went ok because I was with people I love. The fact that everything was closed from 9 o’clock, because everybody was home that hour, was a little bit annoying. If you want fun and wild nights, don’t go to Italy. If you want beautiful landscapes, art, great buildings, lakes, you should definitely go there.

PS: I found these amazing photos on the Internet and I wanted to share them with you. :D

The World’s Largest 3D Street Painting

3D optical illusion - Guinness World Records

The artist Joe Hill and few other artists, from London, tried to break the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest and longest 3D painting and they succeeded. The painting has 1160 square meters, 106.5 meters lenght and it’s officially that largest in the world.

They have an incredible talent. I can’t imagine how they know how the picture is seen from the camera’s view and how they synchronise to create such art. It’s an interesting campaign and, in the same time, a piece of art really well made.

Take a look at the painting as it is being made.

Who’s your look-alike?

I found these pics with celebrities and their…look-alike :D . They seemed too funny, so I couldn’t resist sharing them with you. I tried to post the pictures that were funnier and looked almost the same.

The ex-president has an iconic image. But you have to admit that they look identical :) ). I’m sure the monkey has nothing bad to “say” about that ;) .

Ohh…the Pope. Is just me or the people who did the resemblance were so mean? :) )) For a moment I thought that in the second picture was actually the Pope :) ). I’m going to hell 8-|…

This is one of my favourites actors. :D Nothing bad to say about him…

MythBusters!!! I love the show and Jamie, being so serious and making jokes all the time about Adam, seems to be an amazing person. He looks so bright with those glasses :D . However, the picture is incredible funny. They have even the same colour of the moustache…but it’s something missing on that walrus…It needs a pair of glasses and a basque on his head…but I think they didn’t took a picture with a walrus wearing those things because they wanted us to realise who’s the real Jamie in these pictures :) )). Now I’m just BAD…I wanted to say that God will forgive me, but after what I said at the picture before…I am not sure. :D

I am speechless…how bad they can look-alike? :-O

This is just funny…totally funny…

I think that they have the same attitude…that’s what makes them look so alike. I love when a person’s look-alike is an animal…it’s so unexpected.

What can I say about this? :) ) I think I will do like the ones in the picture…and laugh my ass off :) )

You bad bad people…don’t laugh…who know who is our look alike…I don’t even want to think about that :) ))).

She’s so beautiful…how could they put her near a money?! It’s totally hilarious…I swear that this picture makes me laugh every time I see it. :) )

What picture did you like the most? My favourite is…hmm…the Pope I think :-? ..:)) I think I wanted to finish the post putting me in a good relationship with divinity :D .

Can you believe that these pics aren’t photoshopped?

Li Wei is a Chinese artist that has an unusual hobby. He likes to appear in photos defying gravity and being in dangerous situations. Don’t worry. He just creates an illusion with mirrors and all kinds of trick like metal wires, scaffolding and acrobatics. However, he is so goooooood at doing this. I’m really impressed.

How cute can she be.

PS: love the car..
